Privacy policy

Who we are

This website belongs to Woodgate Beach Concreting (ABN 82 459 335 107), a local concreting business based at Woodgate QLD 4660. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Woodgate Beach Concreting.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect through this website

You can look around this website without telling us who you are. We only collect personal information when you choose to send us a quote request. The quote form asks for:

• the type of job you need done
• your suburb or town
• a rough size of the area, if you know it
• when you’d like the work done
• any notes you’d like to add
• photos of the job, if you choose to add them
• your name, phone number and email address.

About your photos

Photos you send may show your home, yard or property. Please don’t include photos of other people.

Where your browser supports it, the website resizes your photos and removes any location data embedded in them (such as GPS coordinates) before they’re sent. If your browser can’t do this, your photos are sent as they are.

Technical details

The email we receive notes which page you sent the form from and when. To stop spam, the website briefly checks your internet (IP) address when you send the form so the same address can’t send it over and over; that address isn’t included in the email we receive. Like most websites, our hosting provider also handles technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the website and keep it secure.

If you email us directly instead, we receive whatever you include in your email.

How we use it

We use the details you send only to reply about your job and prepare a quote, including arranging a measure-up if you’d like one. If you go ahead, we use them to organise and carry out the work.

We don’t add you to marketing lists, and we never sell your personal information. We don’t share it with anyone else, except the service providers below that help us run the website and our email, or where we’re required to by law.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and receive your request:

• Vercel hosts this website.
• Resend delivers the details from the quote form to our inbox as an email.
• Our business email provider stores the emails we send and receive, including your quote request and any photos.

These providers may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

Analytics and cookies

We don’t currently use analytics on this website.

This website doesn’t set any cookies, which is why you won’t see a cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only for as long as we need them to quote and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need them, we aim to delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• show you the details you’ve sent us
• correct anything that’s wrong or out of date
• delete the details you’ve sent, where we don’t need to keep them for the work or our records.

Just email us at info@woodgatebeachconcreting.com.au and we’ll take care of it as soon as we can.

Making a complaint

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal information, please email us first and tell us what happened, so we can try to put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Contact

For questions about this policy or the details you’ve sent us, email info@woodgatebeachconcreting.com.au. We aim to reply within one working day.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works or the providers we use. The latest version will always be on this page.
